Sandy Boucher is an American author, Buddhist, and feminist. Author of seven books, four of them about Buddhist subjects, recipient of a masters’ degree in the history and phenomenology of religion from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, she has traveled widely in Asia, staying at Buddhist monasteries and temples, and spent a period as a Buddhist nun in Sri Lanka. She has been pursuing her Vipassana meditation practice for 25 years, and has been teaching writing and meditation almost as long.

Given to the residency by the Monday Music Club of Orange, NJ, Monday Music Studio is sited next to an enormous boulder deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago.
