Ronen Raz used his time at the MacDowell to make sketches for a new series of leather sculptures for his new project The Dog from Pompeii, to work on a new series of detailed pencil and watercolor drawings continuing a direction from his last solo show Silver Pharm, and to reexamine new approaches to ecological and recycling attitudes in relation to consumerist corporations. The Dog from Pompeii will be shown in a solo exhibition in Tel Aviv. He won First Prize at the Tallahassee International at FSU Museum for works from Silver Pharm, which was exhibited at the Zemack Gallery in Tel Aviv.

Ronen Raz worked in the Heinz studio.
The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
