Richard Haas worked almost exclusively on etchings in Putnam while he was at MacDowell. He completed three new prints for his series of Cacerci de Inuenzione which brings the total now to nine in that series. He also completed four other prints in acquatint and etching dealing with New York subject matter.

Richard Haas worked in the Cheney studio.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
