Nasim Hantehzadeh received a B.A. at the Art and Architecture Tehran Center University in 2007, received a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013, and an M.F.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2018.

She has participated at the Vermont Studio Center (Jonson, VT), and her work has been exhibited in galleries such as Human Resources, Ochi Projects (Both Los Angeles, CA), the Vacation (New York, NY), Paramo Galeria (Guadalajara, Mexico), and Lefebvre & Fils (Paris, France). Hantehzadeh’s work has been published in the ArtMaze Mag and the New American Paintings, and is the recipient of Resnick Scholarship, D’Arsy Hayman scholarship, and the UCLA Art council award.

During her stay at MacDowell, she worked on large-scale drawings.

Cheney

Nasim Hantehzadeh worked in the Cheney studio.

Cheney Studio was given to MacDowell by Mrs. Benjamin P. Cheney and Mrs. Karl Kauffman. Like Barnard Studio, Cheney is a low, broadly massed bungalow. Sited on a steep westward slope, its porches are supported on wooden posts and fieldstone with lattices.
