Marlene is a writer living in the Hudson Valley. She writes fiction and personal essays. Her debut novel Sophie Last Seen was published by Red Adept Publishing in 2018. She’s had personal essays in Longreads, Manifestation, Rewireme amongst other sites. She earns her living as a freelance book editor at fixyourbook.com. She earned her B.F.A. at NYU and was a Fellow at MacDowell in 1996 where she worked on short stories and a novel.
