LM Feldman is a queer, feminist playwright, deviser, and professor. She loves theater that is dynamic, honest, brave, and slightly impossible. Her plays include Thrive or What You Will (New Georges Audrey Residency, Page 73 Residency); Another Kind of Silence (FEWW Prize Honorable Mention, Magic Theatre Virgin Play Festival, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, PlayPenn Conference, Playwrights Realm Fellowship); Amanuensis, or The Miltons (Georgetown University, Northwoods Ramah Theatre commission); The Egg-Layers (Jane Chambers Honorable Mention, New Georges/Barnard College co-commission); Grace, or The Art Of Climbing (Denver Center, Art House Productions, Nice People Theatre, ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award Nomination); and A People (Orbiter 3, Jewish Plays Project). She has been nominated for the Barrie and Bernice Stavis Playwright Award, Wendy Wasserstein Prize, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, and the Doric Wilson Independent Playwright Award.

A graduate of the Yale School of Drama and New England Center for Circus Arts, L is also a performer and dramaturg of contemporary circus. She has performed at festivals around the world, and she’s an artistic coach for circus artists around the country.

L is an InterAct Core Playwright, an Orbiter 3 playwright, and a New Georges Affiliated Artist. In residence she worked on a draft of a new play based on the book TROPICAL SECRETS: Holocaust Refugees in Cuba by Margarita Engle. The play will receive two developmental workshops with actors at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: the first is this June 10-15, the second is TBD in fall 2019. The play will receive its world premiere at CTC in the 2020/2021 seasons.
