Lisa Brown is a New York Times bestselling illustrator, writer, and cartoonist. Her picture books include How to Be, The Airport Book, Mummy Cat by Marcus Ewert, and Goldfish Ghost by Lemony Snicket. She teaches illustration at The California College of Art in San Francisco, and is at work on a graphic novel for young adults. At MacDowell, she made enormous headway toward completing her graphic novel, tentatively titled The Living Doll, about conjoined twins at an early-20th century carnival sideshow. The book will be published by First Second Press in 2019.
