Isidro Blasco works in three dimensions with a variety of media. He is a Guggenheim Fellow, was at the Spanish Academy in Rome, at the Rockefeller Foundation Residency in Italy and has twice received the Pollock Krasner grant. His work has been exhibited at P.S.1, the Queens Museum, the Whitney Museum, Reina Sofia, and the Museum Oscar Niemeyer, among others.

In residence, he made an enormous installation, 20 by 15 feet, with photographs and lumber. It was transported and installed at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY for his show Adrift Houses. Blasco left his Fellowship early to go to Spain for his show at the Museo Galdiano in Madrid.

Heinz

Isidro Blasco worked in the Heinz studio.

The icehouse, built of fieldstone in 1914–1915, was a practical part of Marian MacDowell’s plan for a self-sufficient farm.
