Ian Olds is a feature and documentary filmmaker currently living in Brooklyn. While in residence he completed the first draft of a feature screenplay for a new film (working title: The Interrogators) which he plans to direct in 2018. His previous film, Burn Country, was released by Samuel Goldwyn Films and won the Best Actor Award at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. Before Burn Country, he directed documentaries in Iraq and Afghanistan (Fixer: The Taking of Ajmal Naqshbandi for HBO and Occupation: Dreamland for theatrical release) and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2013 for his work as a director of both documentary and fiction films.

Ian Olds worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
