David Eskenazi, an architect and educator, used his time in residence to create new drawings for his ongoing project exploring architectural scale, which builds on his installation at the Ohio State University. He also finished a proposal for a public installation of a sun shade in downtown Los Angeles, and worked on an essay detailing his recent projects. In addition to his MacDowell Fellowship, David has received the Oberdick Fellowship at the University of Michigan and the LeFevre Fellowship at the Ohio State University.

David Eskenazi worked in the Adams studio.

Given to the MacDowell Association by Margaret Adams of Chicago, the half-timbered, stuccoed Adams Studio was designed by MacDowell Fellow and architect F. Tolles Chamberlin ca. 1914.
