Andrea Elliott worked on completing her non-fiction book about child poverty in today's America. The book, tentatively titled Invisible Child, follows the story of one homeless girl in New York City. She received the Pulitzer Prize in feature writing in 2007, and is an investigative reporter for The New York Times. She is the daughter of a Chilean immigrant mother and an American father, and was raised in Washington, D.C.
