Albert Serra is an artist and filmmaker. Three of his films have been premiered at Cannes Film Festival and he has won the Golden Leopard at the the Locarno Film Festival. He has been invited to Documenta and Venice Biennale, among other important art events.

The Helen Coolidge Mansfield Studio was donated by graduates of the Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club.
