I am most inspired to create sound-based experiences that combine deeply personal stories with textural audio sculpture. I prefer art you can touch, the analog and the dream aesthetic. Utilizing my passion for sound, painting, sculpture, and technology, I have created environments and performative work that breaks down geography, nationalism, and time. For instance, In my recent inter-active scuplture work created during a mini-residency at the Getty Villa, Malibu California, I developed work that was inspired by ancient mythologies and mis-conceptions of the field of conservation, curatorial practices, and educational outreach, while also drawing from imagery from the museum's collection of ancient artifacts. The work was multi-media, retro-techonological, touch-participatory, and funny.
