In-Kind Gifts
The Colony is grateful for contributions
from Colony Fellows of their books, recordings, films, slides, and
other works of art, which are placed in MacDowell’s collection
and made available to artists-in-residence.
Through special arrangement with the Peterborough Town Library, second copies of donated books, CDs, and videos are added to the growing collection of Fellows’ work available in the nation’s first library supported by public money.
In addition, The MacDowell Colony welcomes inquiries about gifts of
equipment, furnishings, or other useful items. MacDowell must approve
gifts of tangible personal property prior to acceptance. For the Colony
to provide an acknowledgement for tax purposes, the donor must provide
a written valuation for In-Kind Gifts valued at $250 or more.
