The National CouncilYou are invited to join The MacDowell Colony’s National Council, which recognizes and engages the Colony’s most generous supporters in its dynamic creative community. National Council members become part of the MacDowell family, contributing significantly to the mission of the Colony and helping to build a national awareness of the value of the arts. As a National Council member, you will be invited to participate in MacDowell’s National Trips, exclusive excursions to major contemporary art centers. You’ll enjoy special access to Colony Fellow artists and opportunities to experience their new works via performances, exhibitions, and private collections around the country. You will also share in unique insider experiences in the company of the Colony’s artists and patrons. Benefits are detailed below. The National Council plays an essential leadership role in providing a solid financial foundation to sustain the excellence of MacDowell’s multidisciplinary artist residency program and respond to the evolving needs of artists in the 21st century. All supporters whose annual giving to MacDowell totals $2,500 or more (including gifts to the Annual Fund, Fellowships, National Benefit, and New Hampshire Benefit) are eligible for membership in the National Council.
