The Central Park Picnic

The MacDowell Colony Fellows Centennial Reunion Picnic
100 Years, 10,000 Fellowships, 1,000,000 Creative Ideas…One Great Celebration!    

Colony Fellows are invited to celebrate 100 years of creativity with their fellow Fellows.
(Friends and families of Colony Fellows are welcome too!)

Saturday September 29, at the Great Hill in New York’s Central Park, from 12 pm to 3 pm  

- Be part of an historic group photo – of the biggest gathering ever of MacDowell Fellows – at 1:00 pm

- Enjoy open-air performances by Colony Fellows.

- Sign a Centennial tombstone

- Bring Your Own Picnic

- Bring a cupcake!  We’ll assemble the cupcakes in an artful 100 and snap a photo for posterity, before we eat them in honor of MacDowell’s birthday. 

RSVP and pass it on! Post a note here so your MacDowell friends will know you plan to come or view the list of those planning on coming.

Please note the Picnic will take place rain or shine.   

Kick off the Centennial Reunion Weekend Friday Night at Galapagos Art Space!

In town on Friday? Galapagos, a leading cultural venue in Brooklyn, has generously donated their back room to MacDowell fellows and their guests from 7 pm to 10 pm with free drinks from 7 to 8 pm on Friday, September 28th. Swing by, enjoy a drink and get the reunion started!
